Pituitary Tumors - Case 1



History & Physical

  • 60-year-old lady who presented with headache.

  • Endocrinological study revealed low TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone).

  • MRI scan of her brain revealed a pituitary tumor which is outlined in a red dotted circle.



Surgical Procedure
  • The patient underwent a frameless stereotactic neuroendoscopic transsphenoidal surgery for resection of this tumor.

The operating room in this case is equipped with Stealth stereotactic navigation, stereotactic neuroendoscope, and surgical microscope, providing accuracy with multiple views of the operating field.
