Metastatic Brain Tumors - Case 9

Metastatic Lung Cancer

 

History and Physical


  • 67-year-old lady with history of non-small cell lung cancer with difficulty with gait and balance, headache, nausea and vomiting.

  • On examination, she had difficulty with gait and balance.

MRI of her brain shows a tumor in the left cerebellar hemisphere.




 

Surgical Procedure

  • Left suboccipital craniotomy was performed with gross total resection of tumor.

The pathology of the tumor confirmed diagnosis of non-small cell cancer (similar to lung tumor).
